camaroman Posted June 13, 2010 Posted June 13, 2010 Guys just wondering why guys like Chip Foose et al don't market their own authentic 1/24-1/25 wheels sets? Maybe one of the kit manufacturers like Revell could run with it! I would be willing to pay 8.00 to 12.00 bucks... since I already pay even more than that for Fujumi and Aoshima... I would just love to get more contemporary wheels sets without buying all the Cali wheels revell stuff in multiples just to rob the wheels. I also would like to see Revell give us that great wheelset from the Cali Wheels 67 Chevelle again,in say the 65 Z-16 degraded to a regular SS or maybe a SS Convertible ( with an up-top). Or maybe I should just take a nap and stop dreaming awake...
Junkman Posted June 13, 2010 Posted June 13, 2010 Why don't you call Chip and ask him? You might be surprised.
Jon Cole Posted June 13, 2010 Posted June 13, 2010 Sadly, I doubt there is enough profit margin (if any) for Chip Foose to bother.
camaroman Posted June 13, 2010 Author Posted June 13, 2010 I think the idea would be for one of manufacturers to license the Foose wheels with him getting a royalty Not unlike those Boyd Coddington kits.
camaroman Posted June 14, 2010 Author Posted June 14, 2010 (edited) How about a survey of what you like to see done? Personally I would like to see the Fishtails out the gate first; Edited June 14, 2010 by camaroman
Van Halen Posted June 14, 2010 Posted June 14, 2010 Sadly, I doubt there is enough profit margin (if any) for Chip Foose to bother. yup, there would be more market in someone creating a guide on how to produce model wheels.. It cant be THAT hard..
camaroman Posted June 14, 2010 Author Posted June 14, 2010 (edited) Or how about these American Racing VN500's an update of the Magnum 500 for todays rides in 18" and larger; of course we have to have matching realistic tires. Edited June 14, 2010 by camaroman
Joe Handley Posted June 14, 2010 Posted June 14, 2010 Venom Racing had some wheels like that for the RC Cars that were based off some American Racing Tuner rims, wouldn't mind seeing something like Foose or Billet Specialties for either hobbies to tell you the truth.
