The Modeling Hermit Posted June 23, 2010 Posted June 23, 2010 Is there any idea of a release date for that Freightshaker?
mackinac359 Posted June 23, 2010 Posted June 23, 2010 The Freightliner is planned for later this year. A new decal sheet with blue stripes. Tim
ZIL 111V Posted June 23, 2010 Posted June 23, 2010 Italeri's best US truck kit(would have prefered the "highrise" sleeper version...this one had really nice decals!) nice to see it back. Remember paying a "hefty" $35 back in 1985 or 1986 when it first came out. Also had the Testors boxed 80's version with Blue graphics.
Mr mopar Posted June 23, 2010 Posted June 23, 2010 I hope the old stripe decals come in this kit! they look so good on that truck.

It has the little sleeper incorrectly used in the Pete kits. It's about time Italeri came out with a new North American subject.
mackinac359 Posted June 23, 2010 Posted June 23, 2010 AGREED! "It's about time Italeri came out with a new North American subject."

chuckyr Posted July 6, 2010 Posted July 6, 2010 Norm Weeber of Re picas and Miniatures of Maryland offered some rally nice photo etched items exclusively for this kit. They were the correct 1980s Freightliner badges for the hood and grill and mud flap weights. Auslowe offered some nice slotted muffler guards that were correct for Freightliner. Many be he can reissue them.
Jim B Posted July 6, 2010 Posted July 6, 2010 I checked the Auslowe Web Site, but I didn't see the slotted screen. His site's still a Work In Progress, so it might show up eventually.

SpreadAxle Posted July 7, 2010 Posted July 7, 2010 Cool. I like this kit and this truck. I'm glad to see they went with stripes and not mural decals that look like something from World of Warcraft.
