59 Impala Posted June 24, 2010 Posted June 24, 2010 This is another glue bomb that I'm attempting to restore. I had to rescribe the lines for the side chrome because they were sanded off. Then I used the BMF. That was some chore. Well, she is now Emerald Green and this is how she will be settin on the ground. The front bumper and grill has been redone with Alclad. I hope ya like her and thanks fer lookin. Dan
MyBradKeselowski Posted June 24, 2010 Posted June 24, 2010 That's a great looking save I like the ride stance, great looking job on the BMF...
Space Cowboy Posted June 24, 2010 Posted June 24, 2010 I still like the Green and of course the rest of the build too.
george 53 Posted June 24, 2010 Posted June 24, 2010 Looks GOOD Daddy-O. The ride height is PERFECT! (Love them Torsion bar front suspensions!)The steelies just make it even better! GREAT save, you dun an old warrior right!!!
59 Impala Posted June 24, 2010 Author Posted June 24, 2010 Thanks for the kind comments guys. This one was kind of a pain in the you know what to redo, but I'm liking how she has turned out so far. The only problem I'm having is finding the windshield and rear window to install. They are missing from this kit. Oh, and it will have a Hemi in her. I need to do something about the plastic axel in the front end. It goes all the way through the engine. I have already plugged up the hole in the block and I will probably cut the axel and glue the front wheels to the frame. I also had to make the torsion bars cause they were missing also. The interior will be white. I am enjoying rebuilding this car and I have another to rebuild. More on that one later. Thanks again for the kind comments and thanks fer lookin. Dan
W-409 Posted June 27, 2010 Posted June 27, 2010 Nice and interesting project you have! Polara is one of the best Mopars, I think... Your project reminds me, that here in Finland on the 80's were one 426 Max Vedge Polara drag racer. I'm not sure but it's maybe still here. Guys, remember Jim Waldo's Super Stock Fairlane? It's here in Finland too! But your Polara is looking nice and I like that job with BMF.
