evilone Posted June 28, 2010 Posted June 28, 2010 Ok after testing these out myself on 4 builds of my own i think i should tell you guys about them out of fairness. First up waxing your builds. I used nu-finish on my builds and it makes the paint come to life and looks like glass.Second i got tired of my BMF looking like aluminum trim so i tried using mothers metal polish on it and oh my god it looks like chrome after about 5 mins of work an i fell in love with the BMF all over again. Well now since you read these go check em out maybe you'll like em like i do

Kaleb Posted June 28, 2010 Posted June 28, 2010 Can you post pics? its not that I dont belive you lol i know what mothers metal polish can do, I just want to see the results.
coolplastic Posted July 1, 2010 Posted July 1, 2010 Nu-finish is that the stuff in the orange bottle?
charlie8575 Posted July 2, 2010 Posted July 2, 2010 Nu-Finish is a polymer-based car polish. Very tough and gives a nice shine. You can get it at any auto parts store, and yes, I do believe it comes in a bright orange squeeze bottle. Charlie Larkin
Harry P. Posted July 3, 2010 Posted July 3, 2010 Nu-finish is that the stuff in the orange bottle? Yes it is. Great stuff, although I've only used it on "real" cars so far...
evilone Posted July 17, 2010 Author Posted July 17, 2010 i'll have picsof a model waxed and the foil buffed as well as a model waiting to get waxed and the foil is not buffed as soon as they load
evilone Posted July 17, 2010 Author Posted July 17, 2010 jeep with no wax or metal polish notice the bmf looks dull and the paint doesn't reflect as much cadillac with wax and foil polished notice the paint reflects better then the jeep's paint and the foil looks like actual chrome (to thinks i was pondering to repaint it lol) nu-finish comes in a bright orange bottle and mothers metal polish comes in a little whit container you can find these at you local autoparts store and they will cost you under $30 to get both but you can do atleast 2,000 models per container if you use it wisely.
Cato Posted July 17, 2010 Posted July 17, 2010 Second i got tired of my BMF looking like aluminum trim so i tried using mothers metal polish on it and oh my god it looks like chrome after about 5 mins of work an i fell in love with the BMF all over again. Well now since you read these go check em out maybe you'll like em like i do Dude you rock! Have to say 'thank you'. Five minutes after reading your post I got out the Mothers and did a test strip. NOW it looks like chrome! Also tried 'Mr Buffer' which I use on magnesium. Same brilliant shine. And you know? It should have been obvious to all of us-it's METAL foil right? Metal takes polish-but you were the guy to put it together. That's why I feel like a dummy sometimes...
