But there aare no pics online of this tanker. My dad has a couple but his house right now is about 6000 miles to the east lol. I am 100% positive that this is a Gulf oil fuel tanker.

Jim B Posted June 28, 2010 Posted June 28, 2010 Dennis, there are instructions for a lot of models, but not all. Jamie, no problem. I'm pretty sure that Jerry @ Model Truckin', or Dennis @ Model Express will have decals if you need them.
toplessfury Posted June 28, 2010 Author Posted June 28, 2010 jim i think im going to make my own decals for this.if they dont turn out good ill buy some.

ARTEMIS1759 Posted June 29, 2010 Posted June 29, 2010 (edited) You know, I checked out that sight yesterday and after looking at all the model truck, trailer, farm equipment and construction equipment kit pics, I realized how few of the trucks my dad originally had that he has now. He had at least one if not 2 or 3 of everyone of the kits made before 1985. Until someone took his beer trucks, mail trucks and cattle haulers when they were in storage plus losing all but 75 of them to a windstorm when they were in a storage shed. Sucks. ARTEMIS1759 Posted June 30, 2010 Posted June 30, 2010 Reissue That is sweet. I need to get that kit. I love Texaco.
toplessfury Posted July 2, 2010 Author Posted July 2, 2010 i repainted this last night with spaz stix and ran out of paint before i finished it but it is going to look good.ill put some pics up later.
toplessfury Posted July 3, 2010 Author Posted July 3, 2010 here it is with a very light coat of spaz stix i think it will look good when i put another coat of two on it.
Old Albion Posted July 9, 2010 Posted July 9, 2010 Jamie, Looks like an interesting restoration you have going there. That coat of paint has certainly freshened up the trailer. Good Luck and keep us posted with progress. Dave
Kostas Parchas Posted July 9, 2010 Posted July 9, 2010 I agree, really nice kit! Nice paint job, looks really good so far. Kostas.
