Rick R Posted July 3, 2010 Posted July 3, 2010 Go to WWW.geetotigers.com It's Jim Wangers website, he's a legend in the Pontiac hobby was the ad guy who helped form Pontiac's performance image all through the 60s, back when the brand had a great name. His personal collection includes a Verdoro green gen 1 Firebird 400 set up as a modern day street racer... great car!
Eric Stone Posted July 3, 2010 Posted July 3, 2010 I'm going to try to build this car- Jerry Titus drove it in 1969, I believe. It started life as a Camaro, but was re-skinned as a Firebird and allowed to race in TransAm with the Chevy 302 because Canadian Pontiacs were Chevy-powered.
Brett Barrow Posted July 3, 2010 Posted July 3, 2010 (edited) I like the one Tim Boyd did in that other magazine a while back - Edited July 3, 2010 by Brett Barrow
droogie Posted July 4, 2010 Posted July 4, 2010 (edited) I owned one back in the early 1970s. It was kind of a dog and broke timing chains distressingly often. My mother sold it for a pittance when I went into the Army. Oh wait, you were looking for inspiration. Update: The car that I owned was not a Ram Air, it had the base 400. I noticed that your kit is a Ram Air after I posted. Edited July 4, 2010 by droogie
