July 2 Rolling Meadows Car Cruise

I went over to this weekly event. The weather was very nice, but the location and time made for a difficult time to take pictures. The way the lot was situated, the lowering sun just washed the area with long shadows. Add that to glare that was tough to work around, made taking pictures difficult.

An added attraction, if you will, was the Volo Illinois Auto Museum had some movie cars on display to advertise a July 3 show. And, riding in the Bat Mobile (with a Volo Museum sign added) was George Barris.

Looks like you got some nice pics. I wish you would have taken more of that "Hot Wheels" Beetle, though! Are my eyes playing a joke on me, or is that thing a pickup? If it is a pickup, that would have been great to try to replicate with more pics.

It was not a pickup. If it were, I would have taken some more shots. It was tough to get good shooting spots as it was, but something really unique would deserve it.

Thanks, I see that now. It looks like it has flares or something on the back fenders that were making me think it was a truck, but I seen the back seats this time, too!
