LOBBS Posted July 11, 2010 Posted July 11, 2010 Great looking Elky, though I'm pretty sure it's a '64 or '65.
Romell R Posted July 11, 2010 Posted July 11, 2010 Great looking Elky, though I'm pretty sure it's a '64 or '65. Nope hes right its a 66 , the elcos have the same body lines as the chevelles of the same years. And nice job on it I might add. keep up the good work!
LOBBS Posted July 11, 2010 Posted July 11, 2010 (edited) Nope hes right its a 66 , the elcos have the same body lines as the chevelles of the same years. I know and those aren't the lines of a '66 Chevelle. The leading edge where the grille mounts on the front fender on the '66 cuts down and back sharply. The leading edge on the front fender on the '65 on the cuts forward before cutting backwards. The other giveaway is the round gauges in his dash picture. The gauges in the '66-67 El Caminos/Chevelles were long, narrow and rectangular in shape. Edited July 11, 2010 by LOBBS

The '64 has a flat grill while the '65 has a pointed grill.
justin2020 Posted July 11, 2010 Author Posted July 11, 2010 I just looked at the box and it say it is a 65. Sorry my mistake. Justin
