Chuck Most Posted July 12, 2010 Posted July 12, 2010 I heard years ago, somebody took this crude little motorized Arri T-Bird kit... And converted it into a Lincoln Mark IV. I was wondering- has anybody else seen it, or know who built it and where one could find a picture or two of it?
Guest Mustang3.8 Posted July 12, 2010 Posted July 12, 2010 Chuck, I have that kit and have been trying to convert it into Uncle Buck's car.
59-Desoto Posted July 13, 2010 Posted July 13, 2010 There is a crud 78 Lincoln mark 5 in resin available .

Chuck Most Posted July 13, 2010 Author Posted July 13, 2010 There is a crud 78 Lincoln mark 5 in resin available . Yeah- I've seen that one, and it is indeed 'crud'! I'd almost think I could scratchbuild a better looking Mark V on my own!
Chuck Most Posted July 20, 2010 Author Posted July 20, 2010 The car was on the cover of Car Modeler some years ago- but I can't seem to find any other info on it besides that. Does anybody have a copy of the issue in question?
showrodfreak Posted July 20, 2010 Posted July 20, 2010 (edited) There is another master out there and the Quality is top notch, but I don'think they are casting any right know. Edited July 20, 2010 by showrodfreak

showrodfreak Posted July 20, 2010 Posted July 20, 2010 (edited) Model King release .....you can use the frame and engine. http://www.modelroundup.com/images/mk-71tbird.jpg 77 T- Bird will work to make a Conti. Edited July 20, 2010 by showrodfreak
ChrisPflug Posted July 20, 2010 Posted July 20, 2010 The Model King is a '71- nothing like a '72-'76 Mark IV
showrodfreak Posted July 20, 2010 Posted July 20, 2010 (edited) The Model King is a '71- nothing like a '72-'76 Mark IV ?? Yes , thats why I posted the 71 to use the frame and engine for the 77 resin. 77 is the closes to the Conti, with a little modifications that 77 T bird resin will come very close to the Continental Edited July 20, 2010 by showrodfreak
charlie8575 Posted July 21, 2010 Posted July 21, 2010 A Lincoln Mark IV/V is something I'd definitely buy if someone started to cast one or mold one. I'd build my Mk. IV to match Canon's car...that light green with the green vinyl top and interior. Around here, there used to be a Mark V in a pretty turquoise color; I think it had a white/blue interior. I'd build something like that. Charlie Larkin
Chuck Most Posted July 23, 2010 Author Posted July 23, 2010 Also, that Arii kit is huge. Scales out to about 1/22 scale. Yea, I know the 1/1 cars were big too but that kit is no where near 1/24. Yeah- the thing is GIGANTIC!!!! The Model King '71 body will almost fit inside it!
