Railfreak78 Posted July 13, 2010 Posted July 13, 2010 These boxes are a space saver! Toby, my roomate ( Mudpit602 ) was able to get a couple of these boxes with bins from an auto parts store. I re-organised a bit and it saved so much room that I think I might be happy with it. Just an idea for you guys to check out to make rooms practical. In these photos... ( bins for projects/junkers ) Free... Wire shelves.. ( about $7 at thrift stores). Case for finished models.. $10 at a yard sale for 2 of them.
RodneyBad Posted July 13, 2010 Posted July 13, 2010 The car organizer looks good and all but it does take up alot more space than model boxes them selves. Glass case looks good. Your Hobby room must take up the whole house

It works for me I am fortunate due to my loft is HUGE and all mine The only thing I share it with is my pet Rats and my drum set. Past the model boxes and bins is an area full of model trains, Hot Wheels and Nascar diecast I think now is the time to say I love my wife
charlzrocks Posted July 13, 2010 Posted July 13, 2010 Great Organization!! Looks like cramped quarters put to good storage use. The display case is cool too. You also might benefit from a solution I found to getting more builds per display case by building clear risers for the builds. DrewCfromSC Posted July 13, 2010 Posted July 13, 2010 Nice idea on the cardboard boxes. I was looking at some we have at work myself. There pretty beat and dirty but might contact the tool company and ask for some store samples. Afterall were selling their tools? LOL! Looks really nice. Im designing an area now for my hobby. Thanks for sharing this idea! Drew
Railfreak78 Posted July 13, 2010 Author Posted July 13, 2010 You need to get yourself a couple of these to help with those pet rats! I used to have a gardner snake that would only eat goldfish
