Guest JamesDE Posted July 14, 2010 Posted July 14, 2010 A little old lady that we will call Granny owned this early 90's Caprice since it was bought off the showroom floor.... After driving it for many years, she decided to give it to her grandson so he could have a dependable first car... Well, Junior drove it around for a few months factory stock until meeting up with some friends in a local minitruck/sub compact club... Well, Junior wanted to be a part of the club, so that meant he had to make drastic changes to the Caprice... Even though he had scored on a set of 19's off of ebay for a reasonable price, that wasnt enough, so he started by cutting and notching the frame... then he shaved the door handles and removed the hood ornament... The car laid out, but the engine sat too high... Pics will follow...
Guest JamesDE Posted July 14, 2010 Posted July 14, 2010 Not being happy with the way the motor sat, Junior started doing some more cutting and eventually got the motor mounts lowered to where there was hood clearance...
Guest Mustang3.8 Posted July 14, 2010 Posted July 14, 2010 The lowrider man strikes again. Great start, James. Or should I call you Junior? Great story, too.
Romell R Posted July 14, 2010 Posted July 14, 2010 I too like the story line and the build looks to be one that I will have to watch. keep up the good work.
Scalper Posted July 14, 2010 Posted July 14, 2010 Nothing like a WIP with a story. Granny never saw it coming.
cruz Posted July 14, 2010 Posted July 14, 2010 That's gonna be a low riding granny!!! Good looking project!!
