New Camaro?

Have I missed something or is the 2006 Concept Camaro all that is available to build the new Camaro?

Yep, only the concept.

But from building both, the revell is nicer. Even thought it don't have a engine, I think it looks alot better and with some paint detailing makes it pop for being a snap kit. I'll get a link up to mine in a bit.

There are no production 2010 Camaros, only 2006 Concept Camaros.

People tend to gloss over the Jada Camaro, it's actually a fine kit aside from the tubbed chassis for the oversized Jada-style wheels (and if you like that kind of thing, well...it's perfect). It's also 1/24, the body is much cleaner and crisper than either Revell and AMT, interior is very good, better than AMT, they didn't forget to engrave various panel lines like both Revell and AMT missed.

I truly hope Revell does the production Camaro. The only fly in the ointment is that it's not so new/hot because the concept has been out for so long, at least on kit shelves, far longer than production Camaros have been on the street.

Thanks guys. That's what I was afraid of. Bob, I'll check into the Jada. I also hope Revell will get off it and do the production car. I'm hoping to do a complete set of "what if" TransAm cars including the Camaro, Mustang and Challenger.

I agree with Bob. The Jada kits are often overlooked but really are great platforms to start a build with. You can easily swap out the giant wheels and tires and use more conventional choices for a non tubbed look. The body on each feels like a very sharply molded unit and high quality plastic. I have a few of each and only wish Jada offered more choices in plastic because I would definitely try them. Bob has done an outstanding job on his Jada Mustang and also the Jada Camaro. Dont have the links but you should check 'em out.
