Real car is painted pearl white with a salmon colored button tuck interior, fat whites and red steelies with chrome beauty rings and lake pipes. Gonna use the custom catalina interior. It has a 409 but mostly stock under the hood and real clean. Just painted on Saturday, still needs to be cleared.

Back in 1966 a friend of mine had a 62 convertible with a 409 4 speed in it.

He had it painted Marina Blue, had the interior rolled and pleated and put Keystone Mags on it.

A lot of great memories.

This is going to be nice! Very low and I'm very happy that there are no pling pling wheels, I mean bigger than 15'' with low profile tires! Those are very good choice to this, 409 in it...?:lol:

I knew a local guy that had one of these new, in 62, with the 425 H.P. 4-speed version, at that time it put the CHP cars in shame mode. Just a small detail but his came with silvr painted valve covers.

suspension is installed, wheels installed, and now ready to start the interior. Still gotta wetsand the body and repaint and clear the hood, fell on the ground when I cleared it so its being stripped. This will be the final ride height.

It's very nice to see that engine. It looks very good and detailing looks nice. Good stance, I like it! :D

Just finished waxing with Mequires cleaner wax, when I get some more bench time I follow up with deep crystal wax, followed by swirl-X then foil it.

G'day Phil. I'm curious as to what diametre brass tube was used for the end pipes? It's a fantastic addition to the model.

I believe it was around 3/32" tubing

Cool Now is that the new revell kit and is that the ride height or did you lower it?

Yes, new revell kit, yes I lowered it, the front I moved the axle pin hole up around 3/32", an the rear I lowered the springs until the tops of the tires touched the wheel wells.

If I slap some wires and 5.20's on it it would probably lay the frame.

The engine is looking good.

The ride height is perfect.

The interior is looking great.

I tried to capture the green pearl in a video but I don't think it shows too well.
