evilone Posted July 19, 2010 Posted July 19, 2010 I got this kit lastnight and was challenged to build a factory stock build.Plans are to make it look like its fresh off the desplay floor loaded with every option that was availible for that year. The color is german silver and im thinking of doing a tan suade interior. I find this to be harder then building lowriders but it is interesting i may have to do more factory stock builds.
charlie8575 Posted July 19, 2010 Posted July 19, 2010 Those Jo-Han classics are a joy to build. I have a couple. Kevin, may I offer a suggestion? Silver and any brown/tan/beige shade generally do not go well together from my experience. A very appropriate combination would be red leather. Testors flat red with a couple of drops of flat black generally looks very nice for a dark red leather. The floors would have a slightly lighter (read: straight out of the bottle) carpet and the dash should be woodgrained with chrome/nickel trim. Your work is very good and I enjoy seeing it.
