John Teresi Posted August 11, 2010 Posted August 11, 2010 Marcos......one of my favorite drag cars.......you should see mine.......it was made about 3 years ago ......it doesn`t even look 1/2 as good as yours.......what did you use for the pulley belt?

Thanks John. For the belt, I went to Wal-Mart and bought some surgical tape, I think that's what they call it. I then cut it to size and replaced the one from the kit. I think it looks pretty much to scale!
John Teresi Posted August 11, 2010 Posted August 11, 2010 It looks great......I thought it looked familiar .....I use the tape also on stuff......thank`s
bigmikevee Posted August 11, 2010 Posted August 11, 2010 Hey Marcos, Wow, looks great, another personal favorite, you did a great job on this one!! Thanks for posting. Mike
Harry P. Posted August 11, 2010 Posted August 11, 2010 At the risk of coming off as a "hater"... I agree with Ken. The drive belt should be smooth on the outside, not textured or ribbed. That belt was about the first thing that caught my eye when I looked at your photos. A cool model in every way, but if it were me I'd replace that belt with something more realistic, to bring it up to the standards of the rest of the model. Just a suggestion...
cruz Posted August 12, 2010 Author Posted August 12, 2010 Thank you guys, I always welcome every suggestion, it's always the best way to learn. On the other hand, this is a 10 plus year old model, my skills were not as sharp in those days, I was still learning a lot.......
Reliable Resin Posted August 14, 2010 Posted August 14, 2010 Nice Clean work , gr8* idea for the Blower Belt
