george 53 Posted August 13, 2010 Posted August 13, 2010 Jeff, I got the motors from the Revell Bass boat series. Would THOSE help???
sjordan2 Posted August 13, 2010 Posted August 13, 2010 (edited) Once upon a time, the Danbury Mint made a diecast 1:24 Boston Whaler 13-footer with a Mercury outboard, circa 1959-60. Only available now on eBay or other places. Pricey, at about $120. For newer boats (1990s), you could adapt a Corvette LT-1 for a MerCruiser sterndrive (I/O), since that was the base engine. torinobradley Posted August 13, 2010 Posted August 13, 2010 Revell did a River Rat kit that had a Chevy Luv and a small outboard boat and being done in the early 80's or even the late '70s, it wasn't all that modern. It might be worth a lookup. I've been looking for one of the boats and trailers but had no luck yet.
sjordan2 Posted August 13, 2010 Posted August 13, 2010 Some more references here. A lot of these vendors don't includes dimensions, but this one has a few of one type at 1:24. http://findtoyoutboardmotors.com/tag/toy-outboard-motor/page/39/
