that would actually be a 79... 78's still had the birdbath hood ....unless you just swapped out hoods

79 Still had the hood with two scallops and it was the only year for quad headlights. Friend of mine owns a real long bed version for years now. That would have to be an 80's up with the flat hood and single lights.

Engine looks Great but the stock aircleaner just doesn't look right on such a Beast

of a truck..

Funny thing is those hoods will fit any Dodge truck between 1972 and 1992 :o:o

And knowing is Half the battle :o :o

and that would be about 50% WRONG, the hoods are interchangeable, but you have to change the cowl vent, and on the 90 and newer you also need to change the hood latch assembly. I know I'm building a 1:1 78 Ramcharger

DWC43, my father and I bought a 1979 Dodge Longbed D100 Custom Adventurer from the original owner back in the mid 90's and it had the tall hood (as I like to call it) that came on the 79-93 trucks. It had never been wrecked, just repainted when the lady's husband lost his mind and painted it Baby Blue with house paint with a brush and roller. Every 1979 Dodge I have seen, has the tall hood.

1320, I have a 1978 Lil Red Express hood if you would like it. I am trying to find the correct 1979 hood for my project.

I know, I didn't want to Over complicate the situation.

I Have also had a Load of 1:1 Dodges, From 1975 to 1985.

About every combination too.

Not all at once tho.
