Reeves Racing Posted August 17, 2010 Posted August 17, 2010 (edited) I finished this one up tonight. AMT kit. Parts box wheels and tires, cage and other NASCAR stuff. Fred Cady decals. DupliColor Wimbledon White and custom mixed Chevrolet Cashmere Blue. And a great reference source from Modified Mustangs and Fords April 2009. Mitch Edited August 17, 2010 by seveeRRacing

I have on that I am trying to rebuild. I was wondering where you got those hood pins at. They look great.
Reeves Racing Posted August 17, 2010 Author Posted August 17, 2010 DW, I think I got them from MCG but I don't remember. They weren't the NASCAR set they are just a hood pin set four pieces a PE disc, a sewing needle for the pin, some scale wire for the lanyard wire (way to small for me to deal with) and the PE pin. The set comes with both styles of pins. The hairpin style and the flip loop style. They are so tiny I usually just glue on a disc and call it good but I wanted to put the finishing touch on this build.
Guest Johnny Posted August 17, 2010 Posted August 17, 2010 Great build Mitch! I can remember making my own hood pins years ago when the modified stockers kits first came out. (original release) I saw ow to do it in some magazine that was on the counter at the hobby shop! Used small sewing needles, smooth silver sequins and some real fine wire to bend the hairpins from and to make the lanyards! My eyes and hands wouldn't let me get away with that now!
