B_rad88 Posted August 19, 2010 Posted August 19, 2010 (edited) hey everyone wuz-up? well i just saw this and thought i should post it up. The new 2010 Lancia Stratos one-off 2010 Lancia Stratos man that thing looks so beautiful, i wish i would go into production! i hope you guys like it! Edited August 19, 2010 by B_rad88
TurboKitty Posted August 19, 2010 Posted August 19, 2010 some billionaire teamed up with the guy who designed the Bertone Mantide and Lancia to get this one off built for him. Supposedly if demand is high enough (no brainer there lol) then they will consider making as many as 25 limited edition copies. It's based on the Ferrari 458 Italia, and is drop dead sexy!

It's based on the Ferrari 458 Italia, and is drop dead sexy! yeah the guys name is Michael Stoschek (a German businessman) and he commissioned Pininfarina to build it, i wish it would be built, i really want one now, lol. but i don't have $1,000,000(est.) to drop on it. and actually its built on a ferrari f430 chassis and uses the f430 engine, EVEN though there are no offical reports about what is underneath that beautiful skin.
TurboKitty Posted August 19, 2010 Posted August 19, 2010 thats right, the F430. Maybe they didn't use the 458 Italia because they keep burning to the ground, lmao:

B_rad88 Posted August 20, 2010 Author Posted August 20, 2010 OMG, there is a website for the new stratos: http://www.new-stratos.com/en/
george 53 Posted August 20, 2010 Posted August 20, 2010 If it's built off a FERRARI, HOW can Lancia call it THEIR own? Ferrari's lawyers musta not heard about it yet.

george 53 Posted August 20, 2010 Posted August 20, 2010 Brad, they probably sold those engines to Lancia. If that's the case, they STILL by law, would hafta mention that they ran Ferrari engines. But CAN they just buy the basic chassis from Ferrari an put THEIR bodies on 'em an call them Lancias???

They can do anything they want, and they have a contract with Ferrari for the use of the F430 engine and running gear. Further, the guy who commissioned the car has agreed to allow 24 other examples to be built at a cost of about $500,000 each. Edited August 20, 2010 by sjordan2
B_rad88 Posted August 20, 2010 Author Posted August 20, 2010 well im not sure on the chassis part, but look at the lancia thema 8.32, it uses a ferrari v8, in a front wheel drive saloon! thats mad. hre is a pic of the lancia thema 8.32 ferrari engine: http://www.classicandperformancecar.com/front_website/octane_interact/modelpicture.php?id=2460
