Randy Kern Posted February 13, 2007 Posted February 13, 2007 Cruz, your model cars always make me smile and say WOW! Another fine build! I say,"bring them out of retirement, and show 'em at the club meetings once in a while"! Even the older builds are worth seeing now and then. I have this kit to build, and I love the El Camino, but I think I'm going to try a resin wagon body for it, like the one we had when I was a kid. Hope to see you Saturday.
hookedonplastics Posted February 13, 2007 Posted February 13, 2007 Nice, nice build. I like the satchel in the back!
Steve H. Posted February 13, 2007 Posted February 13, 2007 Sweet and Simple... Just the way I like 'em!
Guest zebm1 Posted February 16, 2007 Posted February 16, 2007 Kool chebby cruzer and hey, isn't that a bowling ball bag in da bed? Zeb
cruz Posted February 17, 2007 Author Posted February 17, 2007 Kool chebby cruzer and hey, isn't that a bowling ball bag in da bed? Zeb  Yes brother, it was from I believe a Franklin Mint Chevy pickup someone handed me which had different little items to fill the bed with......I don't know but personally I like these simple looking sleeper vehicles of that era.
cruz Posted February 21, 2007 Author Posted February 21, 2007 its that a AMT annual kit? You know, I don't remember where I got it but I know it's a re-issue probably from AMT........
Billy Kingsley Posted February 23, 2007 Posted February 23, 2007 Wow, that is my favorite build I've seen on here in a long long time. Well done! AMT's kit dates to 1965, has been reissued about a dozen times now, most recently in 03 or 04...think 03 as a Buyer's Choice kit... Surprisingly I've never finished one of these (It's about tied for my all time favorite vehicle) but I've started 3. Luckily I have 8 in the stash, because I think I need to build one with a very similar paint scheme to yours....
Guest zebm1 Posted February 23, 2007 Posted February 23, 2007 I prefer tha '60 El Camino, just a matter of choice, but then I'm predjudiced having owned a '60 Chubby Bel Air 2dr hdtop, 283 Zeb  luv yur twist Cruz-er
