I'm going to finish this before I start my next '32 Ford, even though I have all the parts ready to go.

I have had this on the bench on and off for over four years now. It's one of my ongoing projects to build as many of the cars I drove during my career.

I used the Modelhaus body, and the chassis from a Revell Impala SS. The interior is Modelhaus, with the colors and detailing to match my old car.

I had the police door decals made, but for the life of me I cannot remember who did them. He printed a whole sheet based on the artwork I sent him and they are gorgeous.

Numbers and district markings were made and printed by me. OMG we had funky markings way back when didn't we?

Love the old box Chevy's This I am certainly watching. I had a friend that was a part time or semi retired police officer here in AZ and for a while had the oldest state funded (Maintenece wise ) car and it was a 77 to 79 Impala. Same car just a bit different in the headlights and such. At least thats what he told me :) I'm watching

Thanks for the encouragement guys. Mostly I have the radio and siren box to mount as well as the shotgun.

All I'm really waiting on is the vacuform glass. It sort of scares me!!!

Any tips for a vacform newbie?

Very cool.

Every time I see one of these Modelhaus Impalas built I think "Gee, how many gazillion reissues would this have seen by now had someone kitted this (or a Diplomat, or a Crown Vic) in 1980?"

I was thinking the same I would have bought 20 of them.
