mredzadventure Posted September 12, 2010 Posted September 12, 2010 I was at the Model show at the Kalamazoo Air Zoo yesterday and picked up a Monogram Lotus Esprit Kit 2970 for a good price and a thinking about it for a winter project. I'm finding out pictures are a little hard to come by using standard Google practices. The kit looks pretty good to my eye it's molded in a metallic green. I don't remember to many kits going that route before but I have a complete model. The kit needs brake discs and I don't think the seats are correct. Any references on the engine, interior, brakes and under carriage would be great.
Jon Cole Posted September 12, 2010 Posted September 12, 2010 Did you try Google's "Image" search feature? I have some saved in my Lotus file http://public.fotki.com/JCole/cars--british/lotus/ Not a lot of engine pics, just use Google as mentioned above, or look in eBay Motors.

I don't know anything about the following book, but you should check into things like the availability of service and workshop manuals, etc. Just check with a dealer. http://www.qbookshop.com/products/124499/9781861260666/Lotus-Esprit.html Links where somebody may be of help: http://www.lotusespritturbo.com/Links.htm Edited September 12, 2010 by sjordan2
mredzadventure Posted September 12, 2010 Author Posted September 12, 2010 Thanks for the links. It's a good start. It looks like the sport 300 was made in low numbers. I don't know enough about this car yet to know what parts from different years will work. I will poke around some owners clubs there is sure to be a Guru around somewhere.
