Ben Posted September 25, 2010 Posted September 25, 2010 Does anyone know if any of the Revell or Revell Germany Kenworth cabover kits, flat top or Aerodyne were issued with all the chassis pieces being molded in white?

chuckyr Posted September 25, 2010 Posted September 25, 2010 The original version had a black frame. The unbuilt one I have now with the American flag and fighter pilot decals has blue cab and yellow frame.

What does the box look like? Is it a newer release or one of the originals?
CharlieBravo Posted September 25, 2010 Posted September 25, 2010 (edited) Hey Ben. I have 2 RG Kits. The "trucks of the world" series which I think was one of the early ones and had a black fame. This is the one which is mid-nineties release and has the yellow frame; There was a recent one released similar to this and has a red frame. I dont know about the flattop ones though buddy Cheers mate Chris Edited September 25, 2010 by BjMckay

Scott Borden Posted September 26, 2010 Posted September 26, 2010 Does anyone know if any of the Revell or Revell Germany Kenworth cabover kits, flat top or Aerodyne were issued with all the chassis pieces being molded in white? Is it safe to state that you don't want to paint the chassis the color of your choice? Scott

Ben, what's the issue with molded plastic colors. If you use Grey primer then white primer you should have no problems with color bleed though. This is an orginal kit I built in the early 1990s. Ben Posted September 26, 2010 Author Posted September 26, 2010 Hey guys, thanks for the info. What I'm wanting to do is paint the chassis light blue, If I were to shoot it over the black chassis, I'd have to prime it first. The more coats of paint you use, the more detail you lose. With a white chassis, I could just shoot a couple light coats.

BTW, you're suppose to prime the plastic any way.
