It might be worth it to someone, but not me! B)

Ok, on the serious side, I don't really see how anyone could consider a mass produced article like that rare, and if I remember correctly, that isn't even 10 years old. I'm sure with the fact there is a reserve on it, too, chances are the sellers reserve is probably much higher than $50. I'm not sure, I'll have to check the next time I go up there, but I think I might have one like that in the closet at my mother in law's!

ok, well i have read its anywhere from 10-15 years old, and that was on a forum dated 2004 when i just looked on google, but like i said im not sure about it, the only r/c's i got into was the xmods.

OK, I know little about R/C cars, but I do know most everything on FeeBay is "RARE" and "MINT". These sellers need to know, just because they say so, doesn't mean it's true. Buyer beware.

ok, well i knew that about evilbay, i just wasn't sure if it was or not

my opinion here on anything Nikko is that it's $2 yard sale junk. none of that stuff was ever made to be repairable or last very long. if this is something that you have some interest in for nostalgic reasons then it's worth to you whatever you are willing to spend to get it.

Dave

and i don't really have much interest in it, i have one and i don't really want it, thats why i was asking. i like xmods and thats prob the only r/c i'll stick too.

i wouldnt waste your money on that. like dave said, nikko is pretty much cheap toys. i have several old rc's by nikko from when i was a kid. who even knows if that thing truly works. the ones i had didnt last very long or the batteries drained so fast even when you put a brand new one in it.

Somebody is looking for a sucker, and I seriously hope he don't find one! If you want a good RC vehicle, go visit your LHS and look at HPI, Traxxas, Axial, Losi, Associated, ect.

Put yours on Ebay as "Super Rare Mint Out of Production Vintage " with a buy it now of $200 ;)

LOL, i think you could be the class clown, LOL just messin witcha.

i really don't want to sound as harsh as i may have, i was really just trying to get my point across. all of that R/C stuff that you can buy in toy stores is garbage. it's overpriced and made for nothing. what gets me is how cheap it really is getting to be quality wise too. back in the 80's Nikko stuff was already downright crude and it's just gotten worse. if it's not the 8 hour charge time on the batteries it's the 20 minute run time the kids get out of it. monster trucks that wont climb a pebble in your driveway and have component breakage at the slightest hint of anything "off-road", most times steering pieces. getting on Christmas time it really ramps up too with stores carrying all kinds of the newest and greatest for this years holiday gift giving season. the new thing seems to be to make them either really big, kids love that, or really small like the X-mods. the X-mods by the way i think are pretty good as they do offer some replacement parts as well as upgrades.

there are some old R/C cars and trucks that do have a certain "value" and desireability that make them worth the sometimes quite high asking prices. most of these seem to be what are now "vintage" radio controlled models from Tamiya and other similar companies. Tamiya has even re-issued many of the older R/C kits because the demand was there in limited numbers.

Dave

and i know, you wasn't to harsh, just being honest, i understand. and this one nikko landshark i have works just fine, i just never fully tested it. i drove it in some really super soft sand, pebbles, ect. and it worked fine, so maybe mine is one of only a few that works, lol.

lol, yep, and its not me! lol. and i heard mini-z and dnano are really good r/c's, but very expensive...... thats why i have my xmods, lol.

just my opinion but, I would not pay more than $10.00 for it. Nikko is pretty cheap stuff. Not made to be repaired if it breaks, cannot do any hop ups to it. Your basic store quality R/C. There are a few older hobby shop quality R/C cars out there that may be worth some coin, this is not one of them though by any stretch. That is just my view though.
