phantomw Posted October 2, 2010 Posted October 2, 2010 DENNIS LUGO 1995 L/M ST WORLD CHAMPION MUSTANG COBRA
dwc43 Posted October 2, 2010 Posted October 2, 2010 (edited) Not bad. If I might make a suggestion though. Next time sand paper the heck out of the back seats and remove the lines. Once painted, if you work it right, it will look like firewall panel instead of the a back seat with bars on top of it. Edited October 2, 2010 by dwc43

Thanks all sugestion are welcome, but the real car had a back seat and bars going through the seat.
dwc43 Posted October 2, 2010 Posted October 2, 2010 (edited) ok, I did not know that. That seems odd though, especially to me since we build a lot of race cars out of my shop. As for sanding the back seat off, it wont work on everything, but it can be made to work on most if the seat is not removable. I've sanded down the seat back where they are level with the package tray and some times you just have to use some sheet styrene to cover it up and make it look right. Edited October 2, 2010 by dwc43
Hattley Posted October 14, 2010 Posted October 14, 2010 Nice detail and looks like a fine paint job too!
phantomw Posted October 14, 2010 Author Posted October 14, 2010 It's your kit and you can do what you want...but you reference replicating the real car several times ("Thanks all sugestion are welcome, but the real car had a back seat and bars going through the seat") but you're using a non-stock body from the Super Stallion kit. Just curious why. I used the Stallion kit do to the time I had to finish this model, and not able to find one cobra kit local,I only had until 10/16 to finish, I'm disable and only able to work on the model 1 to 2 hr a day, this car is going on top of the cake for my best friends son's memorial he pass 3 years ago Oct/17.
rustybill1960 Posted October 14, 2010 Posted October 14, 2010 Dude! AWESOME detail work! I like want you have done, really like the engine work, might have to "borrow" some of your details on my own stallion build I hope your friend likes your work as much as I do! Thank you for sharing Later Russ
