fatkidd Posted October 8, 2010 Posted October 8, 2010 this kit was built by a friend of mine that, a, has no patience, and b, hasn't built a model in close to 20 years. built box stock with a little twist on the color...he wanted a personal touch. the color is HOK Galaxy Gray (iirc) b/c with a custom mixed HOK kandy with HOK SG100 w/gold interference pearl over all of that. the wheels are the stock chrome with Tamiya Smoke airbrushed over that until color desired was achieved (hard to photograph) and the chrome lip was cleaned with a q-tip & alcohol. ...on with the pics
davyou5 Posted October 8, 2010 Posted October 8, 2010 I looks really good for someone who has not been at it for a long time. Excellent job!
MILD Posted October 8, 2010 Posted October 8, 2010 While it wouldn't be my first choice of colour, that's a very nice shine it has. It looks like a lot of effort went into laying that paint down and a job very well done.

Chuck Most Posted October 8, 2010 Posted October 8, 2010 Great buildup of this kit, and I kind of like the color, too, even if it is not correct for the car!
