Mopar_madness Posted February 24, 2007 Posted February 24, 2007 any one got pic of ones u have built so i can get some ideas ? thanks for any replys i get on this .
62rebel Posted February 24, 2007 Posted February 24, 2007 I don't have the tech to scan/send pics but a lot of good reference material for you in Rod and Custom and Ol' Skool rodz; tex smith's book the history of hotrodding, and all over hot rod sites. the kit you have is a fiddly one; takes a lot of patience but is very rewarding. i have it chopped and channelled over stock frame with the lowered front axle and the steel wheels. i put the seats from a studebaker avanti in it, painted to resemble red leather, and a dash from an AMT 40 sedan delivery narrowed appropriately. it has an AMT cadillac v8 from the 49 ford coupe kit, with parts box extras. keeping the driveway build look, it is brush painted gloss black. i need a digital camera..... i built it alongside the reissued 29 pickup kit; the pickup got more conventional '60's custom/rod treatment. the sedan kit is really easy to chop and channel if you decide to go that route.

RyanSilva Posted February 25, 2007 Posted February 25, 2007 Hang around "Jalopy Journal.com", you will have all the ideas ever possible, and then some, if you search and hang around there.
Tony Posted February 26, 2007 Posted February 26, 2007 I found theses on the internet Mooneyes cars show etc. I know some are 32s. But just food for thought, besides most model As have 32 grill.
Paul Payne Posted February 26, 2007 Posted February 26, 2007 Mopar Madness, glad you like Fords too! Here's a few pix of my 29av8 done 40's style you might like. http://s60.photobucket.com/albums/h18/Paul_Payne/av8pix
Paul Payne Posted February 27, 2007 Posted February 27, 2007 Thanks, J. Nigrelli, I like the 40's era hot rods the best- If you're at the NNL East, it'll be there along with my 32's.
