Hattley Posted October 14, 2010 Posted October 14, 2010 Here’s part of my latest project. I’m not pleased with the pictures, but I wanted to throw them out anyway and share what I’m working on. I’ve had my eye on the Revell ’60 Impala for some time but wasn’t sure what I wanted to do with it. Once I decided to try and mix a flat and gloss black paint scheme I was off and running, unfortunately my skill set didn’t match my mind set. I say “part of my latest project†because I’m working one two Impalas. I’ve always enjoyed before and after pictures so the premise is a restoration diorama. I’ll keep you all posted. Thanks for looking and reading.
brett Posted October 14, 2010 Posted October 14, 2010 nice subtle weathering Mark, watching with interest for the other half

Hattley Posted October 27, 2010 Author Posted October 27, 2010 Slowly coming along on my restoration project. Here’s some “before†shots. In a week or two I'll move all this mess over to the Dioramas.
davyou5 Posted October 28, 2010 Posted October 28, 2010 Actually you have a good thing going there with your paint scheme, it's a really good idea mixing the flat with the gloss, though it did not turned out as planned it still looks really awesome! Experimenting can be so much fun ! I will be watching this one.

Hattley Posted October 29, 2010 Author Posted October 29, 2010 I put a little time in last night and added the BMF and did some body work. The BMF went on better than expected ...and may become a must have for all future builds!
David G. Posted November 1, 2010 Posted November 1, 2010 The chassis and engine look great, and the body's coming along nicely.
