johnbuzzed Posted October 15, 2010 Posted October 15, 2010 My current project is a '67 Charger weekend warrior. I wanted to duplicate an option that Chrysler offered that year- "Hand-rubbed" silver for $17.00- so I have painted it with Tamiya Silver Leaf Ts-30. It's nice, smooth and lusterous, but it's not shiny. I don't want a showcar gloss. Any suggestions on how to give the silver a shine without making it too glossy?
curt raitz Posted October 15, 2010 Posted October 15, 2010 I love Tamiya's TS-30...nice finish but for a rubbed silver look you may want to try Testors Metalizer "Stainless Steel" (Spray Can) If you let it dry completely (usually 2 - 4 hours) it can be rubbed to a really nice polished sheen good luck
