TheCat Posted October 17, 2010 Posted October 17, 2010 Here's one model that I've seen in my local Hobby Store that I just had to build. As I've not seen anyone else build one at my Model Club and I thought it would be a really fun build. As always, I did my research and I found a SMART car in the internet and I LOVED the color combo. So I built and colored it to look like the one this person online had. Except for the license plates (that I custom made it with my little nieces name). Now she (my niece) says it's her car. Since I brought this model to my model club to show off, the President of the club went out and bought one and made it to a NJ State Trooper car. I also bought another one and stored it away for now. They are very difficult to find as Revell stopped making them. Not sure how I'm going to build it yet.
Foxer Posted October 17, 2010 Posted October 17, 2010 Really clean looking build there. The scripts look fantastic! These are neat little cars and I keep eying one at my LHS also! I keep wondering about customs styling themes of the 50's on it! Maybe lowered with the fenders raised on the body. Wonder if a turboed Corvair will fit under the seat? Bah, now you got my mind working ... better check on the last one at the LHS ...!
charlie8575 Posted October 17, 2010 Posted October 17, 2010 Cool. I might go grab one of those myself. Charlie Larkin
Railfreak78 Posted October 17, 2010 Posted October 17, 2010 I personally can't stand the real ones but I won't let that stop me from complimenting you on a very clean and well done kit. Paint and detail look very good. Did you open the doors or was that kit already that way? Very cool touch to put your niece's name on it. Looks good! Never knew Revell made one.
MyBradKeselowski Posted October 18, 2010 Posted October 18, 2010 Great build, neat looking car I never knew that there was such a kit for this little car. Hmmm, what little do I know... LOL
TheCat Posted October 18, 2010 Author Posted October 18, 2010 (edited) LOL... If you find one out other. Grab it as Revell don't make them any longer. I got lucky and found two. One I built and the other I stored away... for now. Edited October 18, 2010 by TheCat
