I bought one of those new in 1982! It was silver with a gray and blue interior. I loved that thing! I autocrossed it and the only thing that beat me were Scirrocos and GTIs. I actually drove it coast to coast and many times to Toledo NNL. The cool thing about the Rabbit P-U was that it was developed and built first in the US in Pennyslvania at the former Chrysler plant that Chrysler used for payment to VW for all of those VW engines that went in the Early Omni/ Horizons!!! Myself and family members ran the mileage up to almost 200K before economics of replacing EVERYTHING possible on the vehicle doomed it  . Ah memories!

While I was playing around with the parts of the 2nd Rabbit body, I came up with the idea of using the front clip for a BBQ.

Firtst I wanted to build a small diorama with a BBQ in front of a wall or fence. But a trailer looks even better, specially as a BBQ on wheels.

So I crafted the rear of the 2nd body into the frontclip and its nearly finished. The hood will be opened inside there will be a grill, charcoal add T-Bone steaks.
