Modelmartin Posted October 27, 2010 Posted October 27, 2010 Ann and I have been married 19 years and life just gets better with her each year that passes. We accept each other as the people we are and that makes it better! I would not wish for one single thing to be different about her. She thinks my hobbies and friends are cool and I do about hers. I am so lucky to have her in my life. P.S. This IS the best thread on this forum.....EVER!
Modelmartin Posted October 27, 2010 Posted October 27, 2010 Having met Ann, I can vouch for what Andy says here. She is very cool & as nice as anyone I've met, but then so is Andy. I agree that this is a great thread! Thank you very much, Mark. Well I will match your vouch and go one better and say that Mark's wife Shawna ( forgive me if I have the wrong spelling)is a very nice, very cool, very fun, and very bright lady just as Mark is the same but male! and Ann and I really enjoyed having dinner with the Moores this past June. We really hope you both can make it to NNL North next June. Cheers!

highway Posted October 27, 2010 Posted October 27, 2010 Great topic Jeff! My fiancée Melissa and I have been together since Nov 23, 2001. We met through our friends, my best friend just happened to be dating her best friend, and I had been really down since I was just recently divorced from my first wife, which ironically has the same name as one of Bluesman Mark's! I forgot to mention that I was married once before, a very short, very bad marriage, (9 months to the day to be precise, she ran around on me), & later endured 6 years living together with the "bitch from hell", a seriously dysfunctional, borderline psychopath that refused to get help for her emotional issues, claiming that there was nothing wrong with her. At least I didn't marry her!! The only difference was mine was like both of his rolled into one! Anyway, our friends decided to set both me and Melissa up, and since my friend and I hung out at the local bowling alley on the weekends, his girlfriend set Melissa up into coming to the bowling alley, too, and then they "conveniently" made sure the both of us would "bump" into each other! It just happened to be her birthday, so I tease her sometimes that I was the best birthday gift she ever had! The strange thing, though, was when me and Melissa met, our bet friends were also planning on marrying, but a few years later, they broke up and Melissa and I are still going strong.
Sully Posted October 27, 2010 Posted October 27, 2010 I met Dianne in 1972, we were married in 1974.(36 years) I can honestly say, she is my best friend and I can not imagine going on in life with out her.........Love ya Babe. Sully

samm1970 Posted October 28, 2010 Posted October 28, 2010 I'm on my second marriage, been with my wife Kelly for about two and half years, been married about a year and a half.We were married on May 22nd 2009.My previous marriage lasted about 7 years and produced a beautiful lil girl, so it was worth it, just one of those things that didn't work out.Like several others had LTR with a rather unstable female between the the two marriages.Unstable being the politest term I could think of...LOL Sam
kitbash1 Posted October 29, 2010 Posted October 29, 2010 Denise and I were married September 11 1982, 28 years and two kids later were still together.

Harry P. Posted October 29, 2010 Posted October 29, 2010 Lets see, #1- I'm not sure how long it lasted. I was sent on an all expense paid vacation to SE Asia, and she left during that time. Didn't see her for 20+ years. #2- 23 years, until she decided she liked girls better than boys. #3- 16 months. 20 years younger, hot, and crazy as a loon. #4- We celebrated one year as of September 14. Met her when we arrested one of her employees. She was Director of Casino Operations, and has since retired because, in her words, "I want to be a housewife for once in my life." Quite the keeper this one. G Do we have a serial marrier on our hands???

Agent G Posted October 29, 2010 Posted October 29, 2010 (edited) Do we have a serial marrier on our hands??? I never expected #1 to split, much less have bad luck with #2 and #3. All though I will say #2 and I have 3 great kids, looking back I wonder how that happened. Swore off serious relationships for quite a while but couldn't pass up the current MrsG. Let's hope that the fourth time's the charm! Otherwise we're going to have to start calling you Mickey Rooney!

Harry P. Posted October 30, 2010 Posted October 30, 2010 Or Larry King! How about you Harry? Significant other(s)? Used to. And got three kids as souvenirs!
oldcars Posted October 30, 2010 Posted October 30, 2010 She was a blind date that I didn't even want to go on. Pulled up in front of her house and swore I was looking at an angel (still remember the pink dress, blond hair with the sun shining behind her looking like a halo). That was july 1967. Married on Easter Sunday(April 14th) 1968. 42+ years later I can tell you she not only looked like an angel but truly is. Richard
Models by Bear Posted October 30, 2010 Posted October 30, 2010 Met my wife while on a date with another .After seeing those blue eyes and blonde hair I knew this was the one for me . Dated for a year and now we have been married for 5 She is the one who got me back into building and she has even built one herself There's nothing like being married to your bestfriend.
