I am working on a 1961 Chevrolet Impala SS and thought I would post some progress photo's.

Got the body primed

I have a few issues to take care of on the body by the passenger door. And a spot on the hood.

Got the engine finished, wired and plumbed.

got the undercarriage done. I have a spot to touch-up with paint on the rear axle. I also noticed I run the gas line down the wrong side of the frame. I'm used to laying under the car, not turning the frame over. Oh well, I'll do better next time.

And I got the interior painted and ready for assembly. Now if I can just get up enough nerve to try detailing the interior.

Thanks for looking. All comments are appreciated and welcome.

Detail on this kits isn't bad but it could be better.

I have an issue with bad places on the body needing repair and the hood markings are a little messed up.

But it is a nice kit and workable.

You're off to a great start! Looking forward to seeing the finished car!B)

The 61 is my favorite of that generation of Impalas! (61-64) I owned a 64 SS and traded it for a 61 bubble top only to find so much hidden rust it was beyond my ability (money wise) to save!

The guy I sold it to instead of hotrodding it has restored it to it's former glory! Complete with factory ac and power windows and seat!B)
