TheCat Posted November 9, 2010 Posted November 9, 2010 Built this F4-E Phantom II with after market decals markings for the USMC VMFA-451 WARLORDS. I just loved the look of the decals. I think it came out looking pretty good. For a kit that I build back 4 years. Model: Italeri #0830 Built: 6-26-06 Scale: 1/48
davyou5 Posted November 10, 2010 Posted November 10, 2010 Now that is one sweet looking plane ! Excellent Job.
Terry Sumner Posted November 10, 2010 Posted November 10, 2010 (edited) Looks cool but just in case you didn't know...the Marines never flew the E model F-4. 451 flew the J and S model F-4's. No big deal..just one of those picky little things aircraft modelers notice. Edited November 10, 2010 by Terry Sumner
imatt88 Posted November 28, 2010 Posted November 28, 2010 Terry, I noticed it too, but its still a beautiful bird! Cat, looks great, I bet you used the same decal sheet I used on mine Cheers Ian
Duntov Posted March 22, 2012 Posted March 22, 2012 Felix: I remember seeing these things screaming by overhead in SE Asia.... different markings of course..... nice work!!! Regards Bill (Duntov)

62rebel Posted March 23, 2012 Posted March 23, 2012 did anyone recognize the Iranian Phantoms flying escort duty the other day, i forget what the article was in reference to, but those planes must be edging into 45 years of flight time by now.... and that is a beautiful representation regardless of marking accuracy. they are freaking HUGE.....
Agent G Posted March 23, 2012 Posted March 23, 2012 Her majesty's maiden voyage was 1958, I was 2. She and I grew up together in St Louis. Little did I know she'd be my top cover a short 17 years later when Saigon fell. I love that airplane. G
