Built this up to be sort of a beater/project car. I did plenty of work for how simple of a build this was. I had to completely rebuild the front and rear suspension, dropped in a new engine/transmission, added a new driveshaft, built a custom hood scoop, built a roll bar in the bed with wired-up lights, wired the engine and added hoses, built a custom dual exhaust with chrome tips, and I painted the wheels black with silver hubs. Also added a bumper mounted hitch with "poorly-drilled mounting plate", of course completely planned and not a mishap or anything! ;);)

When I got it:

Looks nice, Jordon. I do have one question, what is the orangish color on the front clip for?

Well that's how the paint was when I got it, I figure it could just be the paint underneath showing through.

Ok, I was just hoping you weren't going to say rust, since that particular front clip was fiberglass! :D

a Mopar 340 6-pack powered El Camino! i love it :)

reminds me of the episode of Cops when there was a similar El Camino that they couldn't keep up with, seems the guy had two and one had something wicked under the hood. they did eventually catch him but it was still funny hearing the cops frustration when the Elky would just run away from him.

Certainly a lot better than the stock 305 that was in it!

That one wasn't a pearl white elk with graphics and about a 1968? was it?

Nice Elk Jordan at first I thought you took it out of my project stash. I have one almost the same color  Cool little off roader!

i like this model alot! it's rough and a bit crude but it works so well. proof here that you don't need a superdetailed, overglossed contest contender to have a very cool model.

Thanks for the compliment! Rough and crude is the way I roll baby*. B)

*Not really, but I built this in my dorm room with barely any work space! B)
