sno_man80 Posted March 5, 2007 Posted March 5, 2007 I searched all the area hobby and craft shops and the closest I could find was "simulated carpeting" it came in only tan color and seemed to heavy to use as a carpeting or seating material. If anyone knows of any links to find it or how to properly use the simulated carpeting I'd appreiciate it. Thanks
RyanSilva Posted March 5, 2007 Posted March 5, 2007 Here ya go scott its what ive come across over the past few months. http://stores.ebay.com/MasterDetailer-Deta...9QQftidZ2QQtZkm And how to use it. http://www.briansmodelcars.com/tutorials/t...8&CurPage=1
sno_man80 Posted March 6, 2007 Author Posted March 6, 2007 Can you paint the color of the flocking afterwards? I found some tan at Hobby Lobby, but I need grey color. Should I get grey or can it be changed.
Don Sikora II Posted March 6, 2007 Posted March 6, 2007 I see you are in Madison, next time you're in Milwaukee stop in at Pastimes Hobby Shop on Watertown Plank Road in Elm Grove or Model Empire on Greenfield Ave, in West Allis, both carry flocking in many colors.
sno_man80 Posted March 6, 2007 Author Posted March 6, 2007 Sweet I get to West Allis often, where on Greenfield about is that?
Don Sikora II Posted March 6, 2007 Posted March 6, 2007 Think it is 71st and Greenfield....a couple blocks west of the K-Mart built where Allis-Chalmers was.
bobss396 Posted March 8, 2007 Posted March 8, 2007 Try Scale Dreams, they carry Ken's Fuzzy Fur which (IMHO) is better than Detail Master's or any other that I've seen. Bob
