DWR Posted December 10, 2010 Posted December 10, 2010 I remember reading on a board sometime ago a method for refreshing and old plastic windshield. I am rebuilding an older model and would like to freshen up the windshield after I lay the new paint job.
charlie8575 Posted December 10, 2010 Posted December 10, 2010 Another product that works well I found is....toothpaste. Just polish the glass with it until it shines up. I found it worked very well with a window unit out of an SMP 1960 Valiant with a couple of bad, but shallow scratches and was just hazy. Charlie Larkin

Agent G Posted December 11, 2010 Posted December 11, 2010 Ditto all the above plus one caveat. I've found that polishing plastic with Novus is a good method, but in my experience Future is repelled by the Novus. I wash the freshly polished part before applying Future. Just my two cents. G
DWR Posted December 11, 2010 Author Posted December 11, 2010 Thank you..toothpaste was the one I had read about somewhere before. I tied that last night and the windshield is perfect.

I edited the 200 to 2000.....Micro mesh pads and novus 2 will restore it..... soapy water will work the best Edited December 11, 2010 by Stasch
