Hey Kevin, What about a '59 Chevy ambulance?

59ambulance.jpg

Years ago, I tried to figure how to combine a Ghostbusters ambulance with an El Camino but it was beyong my abilities and talents. It was not the length of the car that was the problem, it was the width of the roof. I am not sure if the Ghostbusters Caddy was out of proportion or what but the roof was much too wide to fit onto the El Camino body. I thought about cutting the roof to narrow it but then there was the issues with the windshield now being too wide. *sighs* :) It was a dream that dies a natural death for me... maybe one day I'll give it a whirl but with the prices of the Ghostbuster ambulances these days... it could be an expensive screw up if it didn't work. <_<

Wow, lots of work need to do! But that looks good so far. I don't really like that 1:1 version, but this one built to smaller scale will be looking very good, I think... I hope you finish this one. Many times builder gets "smashed" under very big project. Can't wait to see it finished! B)

Yea I have thought about a kit like this.

Yours is a mess and if you get that straighted out just to

get the basics the rest will be easy.

If it was mine I would bring that roof down.

The real photo looks like a baby double deck bus.

Keep us posted and good luck with the build.

From one hearse fan to another, This is coming along great. I also know how much body work your doing and your patience looks like it paid off well. Nice so far!
