JPR Posted December 28, 2010 Posted December 28, 2010 Quick question, did you scratch build the bumpers?
davyou5 Posted December 28, 2010 Posted December 28, 2010 Wow! For at minute I thought it was a 1:1 B) ! Super Cool!
Matt P Posted December 28, 2010 Posted December 28, 2010 Nice "clean" build. This thing is really cool.
Kanedge Posted December 28, 2010 Posted December 28, 2010 Great job, the weathering is perfectly done to suit, it looks like it just came out from the paddocks. Sweet.
trey allen Posted December 29, 2010 Posted December 29, 2010 I love it! Any way to find 96 tail lights, and make it a four door?
envious8420 Posted December 29, 2010 Author Posted December 29, 2010 I love it! Any way to find 96 tail lights, and make it a four door? there is always a way. you just have to want it bad enough.
envious8420 Posted December 29, 2010 Author Posted December 29, 2010 Thanks for all the great replies guys! 1 JPR The bumpers are scratch built, the rollers for the winch too. 2 Ken 5 different shades of acrylic brown and baking soda. First I shot a couple of light coats of the darkest brown and let them dry, next I shot a very wet coat of the same color and took the soda and threw it down the sides of the truck. Let it dry, then another light coat to "color" the soda. I did this a few times, using the different shades. For the tires I did the same sans the soda, then sanded the treads clean. then some aluminum metalizer on the brake rotors. B)
kerc Posted December 30, 2010 Posted December 30, 2010 I'm just very happy that I'm not the guy who's gonna have to clean up that! That's one bada**-looking truck!
jedimastergary Posted April 8, 2011 Posted April 8, 2011 That is a awsome mud bogger and I like it nice work combining the two models to make something different and wild.
