Draggon Posted January 7, 2011 Posted January 7, 2011 U got it.Ok now for the little story the bug that i posted before. It's my bug i'm going to fix her up i have got 4 to 5 years to do so very little rust in the pan a few rust holes in the body but easy fix, engine is 100% fine starts every time, only has 12,000k on the thing, she is going to be painted very light blue so i named her sky i will give her a few up grads like working brakes racing seats in the front full engine rebuild find the gas leak i think it's a bad fuel filter new carb gota have white walls and a few more things so not bad for a 12 year old kit ( almost 13 ) I got confued and thought the pic of the Orange Bug was what we were guessing! That being said, I hate to burst your bubble, but its not a Super. All supers had an extended wheelbase and larger trunks, only 71 and 72 supers had flat windshields, later models had curved glass as seen in this pic. Check out the difference in the trunk with yours. Ive had 2 supers and 2 standard bugs, all 68 and later, so I know of what I speak. Looks like your's is a 73 or later standard bug with 68-69 front sheet metal. THIS is a super!

ChrisPflug Posted January 8, 2011 Posted January 8, 2011 Looks like a hacked 92-94 Chevy Blazer based on the interior with a later model grille
Adam deCoste Posted January 8, 2011 Posted January 8, 2011 Looks like a hacked 92-94 Chevy Blazer based on the interior with a later model grille i guess you got it right, it is a hacked up 94 blazer but the grill is also stock to that truck

CAL Posted January 12, 2011 Posted January 12, 2011 1995 porsche 993 gt2 ? Yeah, not really even close. Kind of close but not really.
Brokentail58 Posted January 12, 2011 Posted January 12, 2011 Yeah, not really even close. Kind of close but not really. I had to try. I spent forever trying to figure it out and that was my best guess.
CAL Posted January 12, 2011 Posted January 12, 2011 I had to try. I spent forever trying to figure it out and that was my best guess. Here is a clue. It is not a 1995, wasn't built by Porsche, it's not technically a 993, however it shares some panels with a 993, it didn't race in GT2, It was in a GTS-2 class, and there is something very unique about it. That would have been my first guess too: Porsche 993 GT2
Brokentail58 Posted January 12, 2011 Posted January 12, 2011 Mid engine Fabcar run by Alex Job Racing in 1996
CAL Posted January 12, 2011 Posted January 12, 2011 (edited) Yup a 1996 Fabcar ME GTS-2 Edited January 12, 2011 by CAL
CAL Posted January 12, 2011 Posted January 12, 2011 (edited) It kind of looks like a Baker Electric. Can't be much newer than about 1901 and probably French. Edited January 12, 2011 by CAL
Brokentail58 Posted January 12, 2011 Posted January 12, 2011 It kind of looks like a Baker Electric. Can't be much newer than about 1901 and probably French. Nope. Here is a small clue, it is a company that is know more for their trucks.
Brokentail58 Posted January 12, 2011 Posted January 12, 2011 1903 Autocar Runabout. almost, wrong year.
CAL Posted January 12, 2011 Posted January 12, 2011 (edited) almost, wrong year. 1904? Doesn't look like 1900,1901,1902 runabout. and it doesn't look like any later runabouts and they were defuncted 08-09. And I believe it's a Runabout 900 could be a type X.. eeerrrgg there is about 30 different ones and some look the exacly the same with different names and some look compelety different hand have the exaclty the same name. Edited January 12, 2011 by CAL
Draggon Posted January 12, 2011 Posted January 12, 2011 This is billed as a 1905 Autocar Type X Runabout. Is that the correct answer?
