Tony T Posted January 9, 2011 Posted January 9, 2011 (edited) I picked up some built-ups over the past month or two, and thought I'd share the plans for them. AMT Barracuda "Mad Mackerel" Nice built up came with the box, too. I probably won't touch this one. Plymouth Superbird, 61 Ford convertible, 63 Galaxie, 66 Nova SS 61 Ford - Planning on a Grand National build for this (tribute to Jerry Sims, "Luke57") 63 Galaxie - Also plan a Grand National tribute to Jerry Plymouth Superbird - may do a weathered pre-resto build up on this. Tony T Posted January 9, 2011 Author Posted January 9, 2011 66 Nova SS - considering weathering this as the paint is metallic red that was brush painted, so there are brush marks galore!
ra7c7er Posted January 9, 2011 Posted January 9, 2011 Nice find. I get built ups every once in a while but I never know what to do with them besides raid them for parts and then shove them in the parts bin.

Tony T Posted January 11, 2011 Author Posted January 11, 2011 (edited) Thanks for the replies...I had a line on a set of bumpers for the 61, but couldn't get anything at my end to trade. I think there is a 61 Ford out or coming soon, so I'll pick one up. EDIT: http://www.round2models.com/models/amt/ford-styline/product January 2011... Edited January 12, 2011 by Tony T
Tony T Posted February 6, 2011 Author Posted February 6, 2011 Well, I took the 66 Nova apart, and gave it a bit of a weathering job, and will reassemble as a still-driven beater. Humbrol rust, smeared some home-made rust (thanks, Seb from Model Junk Yard for the recipe!), gave it a bit of a sanding, and a rub down, flat red on the hood...added some rust colour and weathering to the interior and the chassis as well...not bad so far!!
Tony T Posted February 7, 2011 Author Posted February 7, 2011 I finished the 66 Nova...what a bucket of bolts!! Still got some more miles left in her though!
