Well, I can't decide if I want to have opening doors or not.

I think it'd be cool, but it DEFINITELY wouldn't be cool if I screwed the body up! :(

Any input on this?

Thanks,

Andy

The only thing I can say is, if you are not sure about doing a good job on it, either practice on a scrap body or just don't do it, either way I'm sure it'll be a great build,I've been very impressed by your builds Andy, & I'm sure your uncle is also.

It's not really that hard, I've done it to a few (3)cars, my '69 Yenko Nova P/M,'41 Willys P/M & a Dodge Polara P/M, the Nova & Polara came out good, on the Willys the opening on one side looks a little big when the door is placed in, the other side looks fine, just go slowly & carefully, using the back side of an X-Acto blade (#11),take your time & be sure to post more pics!

I REALLY need to keep up on updating my topics...

Anyhow, some progress pictures:

I got the paint stripped off of the engine and cut the manual tranny off:

I did a test paint on a plastic spoon:

And last but not least, I made a wheel tub(I'm NOT using this one, it's just for mock up)

Thanks for looking!!

i wouldnt mind having one of those 70 camaro kits as well as the 69 ss camaro kit for parts to build a project of my own! B):o:blink:

Thanks guys B)

I opened up a door on that Nova, actually came out good. My only problem is going to be making good hinges, but I'll have to check Rommell's tutorial on that.

Your dad's car looks great and building a tribute of it is a cool idea. Too bad you don't have more reference pix of it.

Your build is progressing nicely and I'll be following along with your progress. What is your paint color on the spoon?

Thanks Brad :)

Actually it's my Uncle's car xD I actually have about 100-120 pictures of it. I have a bunch of the interior.

Oh, and the paint is Testors lacquer Fiery Orange. It's pretty metalflaky though :\

Really nice looking work here, Andy.

And don't worry about "slowest builder known to man" ... that's my job! Haven't completed a build for 3 years but I've been working on them all that time. If I finish one, I can't work on it anymore!:unsure:

Thanks Mike, and I feel your pain.

I'm building an El Camino and it's REALLY close to being done but I can't finish it due to the dash not even coming close to fitting
