moparmagiclives Posted January 18, 2011 Posted January 18, 2011 Does anyone know what logo or name would have been found on a 70's style scoop cover? I would like to dress this one up but dont want something not even related.
SuperStockAndy Posted January 18, 2011 Posted January 18, 2011 I can't tell you if it was used back then but people now a days have Harwood covers.
Draggon Posted January 18, 2011 Posted January 18, 2011 I think it might have had a sponsor logo on it, like Hillborn injectors, or a supercharger mfg, maybe a Cam ginder like this:
moparmagiclives Posted January 18, 2011 Author Posted January 18, 2011 I think I might have some small "crane" or "comp" cam decals but I didnt want something totaly out of place. I know I'm not building it 100% as it should be as it is, but some things just stand out.
trogdor Posted January 18, 2011 Posted January 18, 2011 google up some nostalgic drag races and you should find plenty of reference material
SuperStockAndy Posted January 18, 2011 Posted January 18, 2011 The internet has nothing about Nostalgia Drag Racing.
moparmagiclives Posted January 19, 2011 Author Posted January 19, 2011 I got the idea for the scoop cover from some images I found, but with most of them being old and black and white pit photos, I couldnt make out any logos or text. Not alot of need for them when they are lined up at the track and ready for action
samdiego Posted January 20, 2011 Posted January 20, 2011 I remember some that had the motor brand or car name hand lettered. I don't think sponsor logos would have been a big deal as the car didn't run with the cover in place and wouldn't be eligible for the contingency cash.
