wrenchbender Posted March 18, 2007 Author Posted March 18, 2007 Thanks Bill, I don't have an E-bay account. Not sure I want one since the IRS is in the process of trying to get information on everyone that has used E-bay in the past because they want the Taxes. It's in the courts right now. But I'll keep looking ans I thank you... Ferren
MrObsessive Posted March 18, 2007 Posted March 18, 2007 Your welcome Ferren! Re IRS: Really?? That's a new one! What do they have to do with stuff that is sold within the state? Wouldn't that be the states' problem?
LDO Posted March 18, 2007 Posted March 18, 2007 Thanks Bill, I don't have an E-bay account. But I'll keep looking ans I thank you... Ferren The have to issue a subpeona for each individual seller's records. It's only the sellers they're concerned with. Besides, did you really think the tax-free world of mail order would last forever in this new electronic age? Either buy it on ebay or rack up a huge long distance bill calling every hobby shop you can find. There's always the Scale Auto Classified section...if you don't mind waiting 3 or 4 months from now.
James Flowers Posted March 18, 2007 Posted March 18, 2007 Ohio state income tax forms has a place on it for ebay buys. they want the lost state taxes from ebay sales. This is one state that wants their money. Soon you will not be able to buy or sell with out paying your taxes one way or the other. They have already about ruined the Flea Markets because of collection of taxes on sales here.
lordairgtar Posted March 18, 2007 Posted March 18, 2007 Yeah, Wisconsin and its corrupt governor wants the sales tax on any thing bought out of state, whether you drove across state line to buy something or you got it on the internet. I just say....Mwahahahahaha! Wisconsin also has a minimum mark up law as well, which means that you can go down to Illinois and get it cheaper. They also are trying to increase our fees for everything to do with cars, license plates, registration. Property taxes are nutz as well.
