Brutalform Posted February 3, 2011 Posted February 3, 2011 I went down to the local Hobby/Train shop today, to pick up some Zap CA glue, and a few other things, and there was a big sign on the door..."CLOSED OUT OF BUSINESS"! I spoke with the owner fairly recently on the phone, as I placed an ordered for some ModelMaster Hemi Orange Lacquer. I thought it was a bit weird that he never called me when it was in...as he has in the past. I am kind of bummed out about this. This place was really cool. He carried a lot of good stuff, like Detail Master, Tamiya, Testors, Zap, and Evergreen, just to name a few. I always looked forward to stopping by...usually on my way home from work. I will miss the store.
dragster_dub Posted February 3, 2011 Posted February 3, 2011 The one on the Navy base in norfolk virginia is closing too. I went there today to buy some ca glue. everythings 25% off but they dont have very much modeling stuff.
ra7c7er Posted February 4, 2011 Posted February 4, 2011 It's odd that they wouldn't have a discount sale. Maybe someone else already bought the stock so another shop might open.
highway Posted February 4, 2011 Posted February 4, 2011 Just wondering, Tom, what part of PA? I live about an hour from Pittsburg and want to make sure it isn't any I sometimes make a day trip for.
Brutalform Posted February 4, 2011 Author Posted February 4, 2011 No Matt, you're safe, it's in the Wilkes Barre area.
whale392 Posted February 4, 2011 Posted February 4, 2011 The one on N.O.B Norfolk is closing? I remember going there 14 years ago as an Airman Apprentice when I lived in the Barracks. That will suck, as it was a very nice place; well stocked and with knowledgable people running the place.
