RodneyBad Posted February 5, 2011 Posted February 5, 2011 (edited) For some people that haven't noticed that Model cars come in all shapes and styles. I saw a Maisto H-3 Ute R/C car and thought out loud to myself, Why Not??? I was really hoping to use the Escalade but it is too wide but I think it can be done with the Monogram S-10. Interior needs to be stretched and the frame the same. I shortened the S-10 bed to fit The glass is just Black but it is flat, so it would be easy to make. This probley won't get much farther this yr but it's an Idea for those that haven't thought about or looking for something else to do Edited February 5, 2011 by Zukiholic
Casey Posted February 5, 2011 Posted February 5, 2011 R/C vehicles usually have nice rubber tires, too, and I've found Maisto R/C stuff to be the best as far as parts donation is concerned. Some of the bodies are very accurate looking, too, which is a nice bonus.

There, it is in Primer and looks more like a model now. I have the DieCast version of it but the Plastic interior is soo rubberry I probley won't use it if I get much further.
Chuck Most Posted February 12, 2011 Posted February 12, 2011 Mine weren't the R/C version, just the basic diecast kit. Bought them on clearance at K-Mart for twelve bucks! The one on the right is totally OOB, paint and all. The one on the left was stripped and repainted in Testors Lime Ice, and I threw on some wheels from a Revell uptown Charger. Good to see I'm not the only nutcase around here!
