Thanks Rodney. The epoxy is finished hardening and the doors work perfectly. I am excited that it turned out so well. As far as the plug in strip LOL, I forget how I burned out that plug but the rest of them work and the thing is really cheap. I think I had my soldering iron only plugged in half way and it made a big spark. :o

Just checking, got think abut Safety now and then

Had to go back and see where ya found the wheels and seats.

Mmmm, Think I'll part out one of my Chargers for Van seats. :D;)

If you are using them for you dajiban, you might want some even better racing seats. This kit has some really great custom parts in it and a very nice set of racing seats.

Coming along nicely, Stewart. That interior is killer ... really looks good!

Now, I'm waiting for the rear door hinges..

I think I am going to cheat and do it the easy way B);) . I have some of detail master's photo etched door hinges that I am going to use.

Still trying to figure out the rear door hinges. I have put the interior panel on one of the doors. Here is a picture of the rear with hinges installed. Instead of a bumper I decided to use old style bumperettes. I put a piece of styrene rod in my dremel and rounded it. I then painted it rubber and put it in a piece of aluminum tubing.

Those back door hinges should work well. I'm not sure newer vans had those pin hinges that gave me so much trouble on my old GMC van build. These will give a smooth look on the outside.

I like that bumper treatment.. creative.

I haven't given up on my van but I have not had quite enough time to work on it. Too busy with school and work. I have made a small amount of progress though. The only think that is holding me up is the doors. I have the rear doors finally installed but the hinging for the hood is a huge headache. Can't seem to get everything glued on right so the hood will open nicely. I need more patience LOL

STewart

I have actually considered gluing the hood shut but I would really like to add some nice visible engine detail.

I am almost done with the build. Only major part that needs to be done now is finishing the engine and making the front suspension. I finally got the rear doors in place and I think I have figured out the hood.

I also filled in the gaps around the door and interior. Still needs a little work but it is almost there.

DSCN4461.jpg

Rear suspension is almost there. Just have to install it. :(

Here is the start of headers for the engine and the air intake.

Yeah it is definitely not perfect but I don't want to go back and try to change things. I just know what to do better next time.

Yeah on the doors! .. I can feel that! :P Looks like headers are "a wrap" too. ;)

It's good to see this back on the table ... soon maybe I can get back into my van. You're giving me inspiration at any rate, :P

Got a little more done. This is getting real close to being finished.

Next comes a little body work touch-up, some interior details completed, and then I will put in the suspension and exhaust.

That's a beautiful radiator fan and so is the engine .. hope we get to see it when front is all buckled up. :D

Well unfortunately, You can't really tell. But it was really easy to put together and looks beautiful when done. Engine Bay is DONE!!! I glued in the grille, intakes, put on the washer fluid tank, and optima battery, and started plumbing the brake lines from the brake booster. The rear suspension is almost ready to go on. Just have to finish the drive shaft.

Here are the pics

Complete!!! Just have to do the trailer now.

Here are the pics of the front chassis. The van still needs a few odds and ends like rear lights and a steering setup but it is almost completely done.
