Thor Posted February 16, 2011 Posted February 16, 2011 Hi I started a hotrod project based on a 32 Chevy.
Drgon63 Posted February 16, 2011 Posted February 16, 2011 kool project... like the alternative to a 32 Ford...nothing against the ford... just like the idea of something different.. Tom
pepperdrumstix Posted February 17, 2011 Posted February 17, 2011 I likes it too. Those '32 Chevy roadsters had the look of a much more expensive car, like a small Packard. Nice start there. Those wheels and tires will be perfect. And if you put a small block Chevy in it that will seem fine, like it belongs. Any color ideas yet? Keep the top too. I never had this kit and always like to see builds of it. I wish they would produce a '35 Chevy coupe. They make great street rods. Patrick M
Erik Smith Posted February 17, 2011 Posted February 17, 2011 I like the choice of wheels - what is the source of the kit?
Chuck Most Posted February 17, 2011 Posted February 17, 2011 Liking this already! I've built three rods from this kit (two Mopar powered, one powered by Small Block Ford!). I'd love to see Round 2 bring this back... and tool up a new sedan delivery body for it, too!
Thor Posted February 17, 2011 Author Posted February 17, 2011 I have found out this is an old AMT/ERTL kit. The wheels is standard steeles(parts box)with the rears modified for a wider look. I dont know if i`m going with whitewall or not, any sugestions? The engine will be a 283 with 4bbl and ramhorn ex.manifolds. Sould i keep the hood sides?
Terry Sumner Posted February 17, 2011 Posted February 17, 2011 (edited) Looks like a resin pop of the old MPC kit to me...who makes it? Edited February 17, 2011 by Terry Sumner
