Longbox55 Posted February 19, 2011 Posted February 19, 2011 I've been making my own decals for a few years, mostly stock car stuff and license plats/small decals using an inkjet printer. I've ben using Testors/Sure Thing and Supercal paprers, with decent results, other than some transparency using clear film and the dreaded "crakling" when printing black. Well, I've recently aquired a laser printer, and am wondering what brand paper is preferred by those that use a laser printer for making them.
Carmikeman Posted February 19, 2011 Posted February 19, 2011 laser printers take a different paper than inkjet. Bare Metal Foil carries laser or inkjet paper. http://bare-metal.com/

ra7c7er Posted February 20, 2011 Posted February 20, 2011 I really like decal paper from Papilo and Lazertran. For the most part I have found all the decal paper to be pretty much the same. Testors and Avery decal paper are decent and easily available. BMF's decal paper is nice but to me is nothing special for the price since there paper is branded and comes from the same place that makes decal paper for several other brands. Decalpaper.com has pretty good decal paper I used to use them for my RC and slot cars and will probably use them for my models when I need custom decals.
