Guest Posted February 25, 2011 Posted February 25, 2011 Could you order a 71 duster with a slant 6, and ralley wheels?
spkgibson Posted February 25, 2011 Posted February 25, 2011 Yes that would be the "Twister" Option, Those cars also used the 340 grill. Back then you could get almost anything on Mopars. I have a photo of a 77 Fury Salon 4-door with those same exact wheels on it.
ChrisPflug Posted February 25, 2011 Posted February 25, 2011 The rallye wheels were a separate option and available on just about any Chrysler passenger car through the 70s The Twister package included rallye wheels (but trim rings were an additional option- I made some wheels less the rings for my '71 slant 6 Duster Twister)
Guest Posted February 26, 2011 Posted February 26, 2011 Thanks. How about the rear wing? Or do I need to fill the holes and not use it?
Guest Posted February 27, 2011 Posted February 27, 2011 Were there any markings on the Twister Duster? My brother had a 74 Duster, he had a slant 6 auto, with the half vinyl roof in white, and he had Keystone mags on it, and the rear raised a bit. He always got offers to race, but, he turned them down, lol.
slantasaurus Posted February 27, 2011 Posted February 27, 2011 http://www.valiant.org/duster.html The best discription of the Twister package is way down near the bottom of the page. I think Keith Marks might make the stripes with the Twister logo but I can't remember for sure.
